The short answer

What is the Wizard Cat Meme meme?

The wizard cat meme is a 7-second clip of a chubby cat in a floppy navy wizard hat hammering a keyboard with a completely blank face, and AI Meme Videos remakes it from one photo of your own cat, typing sounds included.

The wizard cat meme is one short loop: a round ginger cat in a droopy navy knitted wizard hat sits at a computer and types like its job depends on it. The paws go fast, the face does nothing. Halfway through it stops, stares into space, slaps the keys once, then loses it and hammers the keyboard in a blur.

The joke lives in the caption on top. People post it as the email they want to send versus the one they have to send, as themselves after a password reset fails for the fifth time, or as their energy at work on a Monday. The blank stare is what makes any of those land.

On AI Meme Videos you upload one photo of your own cat (or dog, or rabbit). The render keeps your pet's face and fur, puts the wizard hat on it, follows the original's taps, pause, smack and frenzy beat for beat, and comes back with the keyboard clatter already on it. Add your own caption in TikTok or CapCut.

4 steps

How to do the Wizard Cat Meme trend

01

Upload a photo of your pet

One animal, face clearly visible, good light. A front-on photo of a sitting cat gives the closest match to the original.

02

Pick a desk

Office cubicle like the original, cosy pink room, or starry night.

03

Pick a model and quality

Standard at 720p is the default and costs 10 credits. Higher tiers keep the fur sharper while the paws blur.

04

Generate, caption and post

The 7-second clip comes back with the typing sounds. Put your own caption on top, like the email you wish you could send, and post it.

Beat by beat

The 7-second clip, beat by beat

Timed from the original clip. Every render follows this sheet.

TimeBeatWhat happens
0-2.5sRage typingBoth front paws jab the keys in turn, belly jiggling, face blank.
2.5-3sLast tapsTwo hard taps and the paws stop.
3-4.5sThe stareFrozen, paws on the keys, staring at nothing. One slow blink.
4.5-5sOne smackA paw goes up and slaps the keyboard once.
5-6.2sCalm againSitting tall and still, as if nothing happened.
6.2-7sFrenzyBoth paws blur on the keys, the hat wobbles, the face still says nothing.

Under the hood

Where it came from and how it is made

The clip was first posted on 7 October 2026 by the TikTok account Chonk The Fat Wizard Cat (@fatchonkywizardcat), captioned "Chonk no like werk mrrp". When we checked it on 26 October it had about 545K views. Most reposts call it an AI cat; the account has not said how the clip was made, so that is unconfirmed.

From 10 October green-screen meme accounts cut the cat out and shared it as a template, which is how it ended up on office desks, bedrooms and starry skies. The biggest post we found is a password-reset caption repost from 12 October with about 9.7M views and 1.5M likes. Some template accounts also made spin-offs, such as the cat lifting the keyboard and screaming.

The wizard cat is its own character, not a licensed cartoon cat. The radar logged the trend at its spreading stage on 26 October 2026.

Your pet

Your photo sets the animal: breed, fur, markings and eye colour all come from it. The ginger cat in the original lends only its timing, never its fur or face.

The hat

Every render adds the same floppy navy knitted wizard hat, because without it the clip stops reading as this meme.

The timing

The motion reference is the full 7-second original, so the fast typing, the dead stop, the single smack and the final frenzy land on the beats people know.

The desk

You pick where it types: the office cubicle of the original, a cosy pink room, or a starry purple night like the Halloween reposts.

The sound

The original has no song, just keys. The model renders the clacks, the smack and the closing clatter with the video.

Straight talk

Before you upload

For the best result

  • Face forward, eyes open. The whole meme is the blank stare, so a photo where your pet looks at or just past the camera works far better than a side profile.
  • Leave room for the hat. Ears and the top of the head should be in the photo. A tightly cropped face leaves the model guessing where the hat sits.
  • Any pet can type. It was made for cats, but dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs work too. Very small or very long animals may look a little squashed into the seated pose.
  • Write the caption yourself. The video comes without text so you can add the line that fits your day. Keep it short and put it above the hat so it does not cover the face.

Good to know

  • One pet photo in, one 7-second vertical clip out.
  • Three desks: office cubicle, cosy pink room, starry night.
  • Keyboard sounds are generated with the clip; there is no song.
  • Standard 720p costs 10 credits, 480p from 5; credits come back if a render fails.
  • Finished videos can be downloaded for 24 hours.
