The short answer
What is the Dog Making Coffee meme?
Dog Making Coffee is a TikTok meme of AI clips where a dog stands at a counter and makes coffee very badly or very seriously, and AI Meme Videos makes a 15-second kitchen version starring your own dog from one pet photo.
Dog Making Coffee is a small family of AI videos built on one straight-faced idea: a dog is on shift, on its hind legs, doing a job that needs thumbs. Nobody in the clip treats this as strange, and that is most of the joke.
The kitchen version is the one that took off. A big pug and a smaller French bulldog stand at a home counter with a red mug and a jar of instant coffee. The pug spoons coffee onto the counter, the bulldog tips milk everywhere except the mug, and the pug still lifts the mug and gives a thumbs up. Its caption is a Monday morning joke, and that is how it reads: two colleagues who have not woken up yet.
The other common version moves to a coffee shop. Several clips we watched follow almost the same order: a card reader, a shot of espresso, a milk carton the dog can barely control, a steamed jug and a finished latte, sometimes with a sneaky lick along the way. Those clips show dachshunds, shih tzus, Labradors, westies and huskies, usually in aprons.
AI Meme Videos makes the kitchen version: you upload one photo of your dog and it takes the pug's place at the counter, while the bulldog, the mug and the mess stay. The cafe clips on this page are other creators' takes on the trend, shown so you can see its range; our render does not put your dog in a cafe.

Beat by beat
The 15-second clip, beat by beat
Timed from the original clip. Every render follows this sheet.
| Time | Beat | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 0-2s | The briefing | The big dog points a paw at the counter as if it has a plan. The bulldog watches. |
| 2-5s | The kettle | The bulldog hoists a glass kettle towards the mug while the lead dog stares down the lens, spoon in paw. |
| 5-10s | The spoon | Scoop after careful scoop from the jar, landing in dark piles beside the mug. |
| 10-12s | The stir | The bulldog has mentally left. The lead dog stirs with great seriousness. |
| 12-13s | The milk | A white jug tips and the milk goes straight onto the counter. |
| 13-15s | Thumbs up | A lake of milk spreads while the mug is raised and a thumbs up closes the deal. |
Under the hood
Where it came from and how it is made
The biggest clip AI Meme Videos found is the kitchen pug and French bulldog, posted by @funny.ai.moments on 26 October 2026. It showed about 1.4 million views on 2 November 2026, and it is the clip our 15-second motion reference is cut from.
The earliest post among the 12 clips we ranked is @markk_officiel's Labrador barista from 15 September 2026, at about 23,200 views. @slinky.daisy's dachshund followed on 3 October with about 18,900. Who made the first one is unconfirmed, and so is whether the cafe clips share one template, although one shows a CapCut AI mark and another a Kling mark.
The burst radar marked Dog Making Coffee as just sprouting on 30 October 2026, and new versions were still appearing on 31 October.

Your dog takes the lead
Face, ears, fur colour and markings come from your photo, and your dog stands in the pug's spot at the counter.
The bulldog stays
The French bulldog remains as the coworker, because the joke needs two dogs failing together.
The order of the mess
A 15-second reference from the most watched clip we found sets the kettle, the spoon, the spill and the thumbs up.
A plain jar
The original shows a real coffee brand. We ask for a jar with a blank label on yours.
Kitchen sounds
The clip asks for spoon, pour and splash sounds with no speech, ready to post or to put your own sound over.
Straight talk
Before you upload
For the best result
- Face first. Your dog looks straight into the camera more than once, so choose a photo where its face is sharp.
- Show the markings. Patches, spots or a distinctive coat help the clip read as your dog at a glance.
- One animal only. Use a photo of a single dog so the render knows who holds the spoon.
- Solemn beats happy. A worried or serious expression suits the joke better than a big grin.
Good to know
- One pet photo in, one 15-second vertical clip out.
- Your dog replaces the pug at a kitchen counter; the French bulldog stays beside it.
- This is the kitchen version, not the coffee shop version seen in some examples.
- The clip asks for kitchen sounds and no speech; no song is added.
- The prompt has not been test-run, so details such as the blank jar label may vary.
- Standard 720p costs 10 credits, 480p costs 5; credits come back if a render fails.
- It is an AI gag: no real dog is handling coffee.
