The short answer

What is the Carson Shearer Dance meme?

The Carson Shearer dance is a TikTok meme of a deadpan bedroom routine that ends on a blank close-up stare, and AI Meme Videos makes a 15-second version with you doing the dance from a single photo.

The Carson Shearer dance is a piece of pure commitment. A man stands in his bedroom and throws himself into a fast, slightly unhinged routine: a low squat, arms whipping past the phone, a deep bow, a turn of the back. Then it stops, and the camera sits on his face while he stares off with no expression at all. That switch from full effort to nothing is the joke.

It has lasted because it is easy to reuse. TikTok captions call it iconic and the greatest repost, and the same routine turns up in a minimarket, in a basement six years later, as a green-screen cut-out, inside Minecraft and on an animated robot. Google suggests searches for Minecraft, Fortnite and Among Us versions too.

The AI take is newer. A TikTok clip tagged #ViggleAI puts an animated character through the same moves, and an October 2026 post by @vernon_pike has a moustached man in a velvet tailcoat doing it in a period attic, which looks AI-made, though the caption does not say so.

On AI Meme Videos the dance stays and the person changes. You upload one photo and you do the routine yourself, in your own clothes, down to the stare at the end. It is your face in the clip from the first frame to the last, never his.

How to do the Carson Shearer Dance trend

Upload one photo

A clear photo of one adult, face visible. Full body is best, since most of the clip is wide.

Pick a model and quality

Standard at 720p is the default and costs 10 credits; 480p costs 5.

Generate

In a few minutes you get a 15-second clip of you doing the routine, sound already on it.

Post it with the hook

Add #carsonshearer and #carsondance, and credit the original dancer so people know where the moves come from.

Beat by beat

The 15-second clip, beat by beat

Timed from the original clip. Every render follows this sheet.

Time	Beat	What happens
0-2s	The squat	Wide shot, feet planted, forearms stacked at the chest.
2-3s	Into the lens	The phone tilts up close as an arm swings over the head.
3-6s	Arms everywhere	Side-on, arms cross overhead, then a fist punches forward.
6-8s	The bow	Back to wide for a deep bend, hands at the belly, an arm flicking out.
8-11s	The turn	An arm reaches up, then the back turns to the lens with an elbow out.
11-14s	Winding down	A loose step with hands near the hips, then a low-angle shot with an arm raised.
14-15s	The stare	A tight close-up, eyes down and away, nothing on the face at all.

Under the hood

Where it came from and how it is made

Reposts label the dance "Carson Shearer's Dance (2020)", and the earliest dated post AI Meme Videos found is an animated version by @charliebravos on 3 August 2020, so the dance was already spreading by then. The first upload itself is unconfirmed.

The biggest post we found is @car.shearer's own clip from 16 January 2025, in a black floral T-shirt, at about 36.2 million views when we checked on 2 November 2026. It is what our 15-second motion reference is cut from. After the close-up the full post runs on to 36 seconds, with him standing at the far end of a hallway and walking off.

The burst radar flagged the AI version as just sprouting on 1 November 2026. Most of the remakes we saw are real people reshooting it. Two 2023 reshoots by @davidpranata160397, one in a minimarket and one at an outdoor event, showed about 2.3 million and 3.2 million views.

The dancer is replaced, fully

Nothing of the man in the source clip stays. Face, hair, build, skin tone, hands and clothes all come from your photo.

The routine

A 15-second reference from the most watched post we found fixes the order of the moves and the jump cuts.

The room stays

The blue attic bedroom, the slanted ceiling and the dresser stay, because the plain room is part of why the dance reads so funny.

The stare at the end

The clip finishes on the close-up, with care taken to keep your own face shape, since that is the shot people remember.

The sound on top

The audio from the source clip is laid under the finished video from the same point, so the moves land on the beat.

Straight talk

Before you upload

For the best result

Show your face clearly. The last second is a tight close-up, so a sharp, well-lit face in your photo pays off most there.
Show your whole outfit. Your clothes come from the photo, so a full-body shot gives the render real shoes and trousers for the wide shots.
One person per photo. Crop group shots down to one person; the generator casts one dancer.
Use yourself, not him. The fun is you committing to it. Upload your own photo, or one of an adult friend who said yes.

Good to know

One photo in, one 15-second vertical clip out.
You do the dance yourself in a blue attic bedroom, ending on the blank close-up.
Your own face, hair and clothes stay; the original dancer does not appear in your clip.
The sound from the source clip is added under the video.
Standard 720p costs 10 credits, 480p costs 5; credits come back if a render fails.

Questions at the fence

Carson Shearer Dance FAQ

What is the Carson Shearer dance meme?

The Carson Shearer dance is a TikTok meme built on one man's deadpan bedroom routine, which ends on a blank stare into a close-up, and AI Meme Videos makes a 15-second version with you doing the dance from one photo. People repost it, remake it and paste it into games.

How do I make a Carson Shearer dance AI video of myself?

On AI Meme Videos you upload one photo of yourself, keep Standard 720p or choose 480p, and press generate; your 15-second Carson Shearer dance clip comes back in a few minutes with the sound on it.

How much does a Carson Shearer dance video cost?

A Carson Shearer dance video on AI Meme Videos costs 10 credits at the default Standard 720p and 5 credits at 480p. If the 15-second render fails, the credits go back to your balance automatically.

Will the video show Carson Shearer's face?

No: a Carson Shearer dance render on AI Meme Videos replaces the dancer completely, so the 15-second clip shows your face, hair, clothes and build from your photo. It is you doing his routine, not a video of him and not a way to imitate him.

Can I put someone else's face on the dance, or use a photo of Carson Shearer?

AI Meme Videos' Carson Shearer dance generator is meant for a photo of yourself or of an adult who agrees to it, not for faking a real person. Please do not upload a photo of Carson Shearer or a public figure for the 15-second clip.

What song is in the Carson Shearer dance?

AI Meme Videos adds the sound from the source clip under your 15-second Carson Shearer dance render. TikTok lists it only as an original sound; captions and search suggestions point to Collard Greens and ScHoolboy Q, but the track itself is unconfirmed by the post's metadata.

Who started the Carson Shearer dance?

The dance on the AI Meme Videos Carson Shearer page is credited across TikTok captions to @car.shearer, whose display name is Carson. Reposts label it as 2020 and the earliest dated post AI Meme Videos found is from 3 August 2020; the very first upload is unconfirmed.

How many views does the Carson Shearer dance have?

The biggest Carson Shearer dance post AI Meme Videos found is @car.shearer's own January 2025 clip, which showed about 36.2 million views on 2 November 2026. It is the clip our 15-second motion reference is cut from.

Why do people dance it in a shop or a market?

The Carson Shearer dance works because the moves are the same anywhere, and AI Meme Videos found the most-watched remakes moved it to public places, including a minimarket clip at about 2.3 million views. Our 15-second version keeps the original bedroom setting.

Is the Carson Shearer dance AI trend new?

The Carson Shearer dance itself dates to around 2020, but AI Meme Videos' trend radar marked the AI take as just sprouting on 1 November 2026. Remakes were still being posted on TikTok through October 2026, so 15-second versions are a fresh spin on an old meme.
