The short answer

What is the Car Alarm Dance meme?

Car Alarm Dance AI is a TikTok meme where someone dances in perfect time to a car alarm as if it were music, and AI Meme Videos makes your version from a single photo in 11 seconds, alarm sound included.

The car alarm dance is a gag about hearing music where there is none. A car alarm starts its loop of beeps and whoops, and instead of looking for the owner, someone hops, kicks and shuffles beside the car, hitting each change in the pattern as if a DJ had dropped it.

The version most people know is Nick Kosir in a grey suit in a rainy parking lot, posted to TikTok in January 2024. His caption reads "Car alarm got me going brazy". The joke works because the suit is so serious, the setting is so dull, and the moves are so committed.

In 2026 it came back as an AI format. Most of the versions we found keep the car and the alarm and swap the dancer for something unlikely: an upright orange cat, a ragdoll, a bulldog, a 3D panda. A lot of them follow a similar routine, starting with a paw on the car and moving into a salute-like arm and a raised foot. Tutorial posts we saw walk through a CapCut template.

On AI Meme Videos you upload one photo and take Nick's place in the parking lot, in your own clothes, with the white SUV beside you and the alarm already on the clip. It works best with one adult in the picture. Photos of children are not allowed here, even though child-style versions exist on TikTok.

4 steps

How to do the Car Alarm Dance trend

01

Upload one photo

A clear photo of one adult, face visible. Full body is best, since your legs do most of the work.

02

Pick a model and quality

Standard at 720p is the default and costs 10 credits; 480p costs 5.

03

Generate

In a few minutes you get an 11-second clip of you dancing beside the car, alarm already on it.

04

Post it with the hook

Add #caralarmdance and caption it with what the alarm did to you.

Under the hood

Where it came from and how it is made

The most watched clip AI Meme Videos found is from @officialnickkosir, posted on 25 January 2024. It showed about 48.1 million views when we checked on 2 November 2026, and it is the clip our 11-second motion reference is cut from. His caption credits @MEDKOVA as inspiration, so he may not be the first; who started it is unconfirmed.

The earliest AI version in the set we checked was posted on 26 May 2026, and new ones kept appearing through June and July. The biggest pet version we found is @aiclipcreations' orange cat from 2 July 2026, at about 318,000 views.

The burst radar flagged Car Alarm Dance as just sprouting on 30 October 2026, and we saw a new post dated 31 October.

  • First seenJan 25, 2024
  • WhereTikTok, tagged #caralarmdance, with AI versions also tagged #aifunny and #ai
  • SoundA car alarm. The original post lists its audio as "original sound - Mia"; it is not a commercial song as far as we could tell, and whether the alarm recording started with that account is unconfirmed
  • ModelSeedance 2.0 family
  • Length11 s, vertical

Only the dancer changes

The wet asphalt, the white SUV and the grey sky stay, so the scene still reads as the clip people remember.

You stay you

Face, hair, build, skin tone and clothes come from your photo. There is no grey suit unless you are wearing one.

The routine

An 11-second reference from the most watched clip we found sets the order of the hops and kicks and keeps them on the pattern.

A camera that follows

The shot is handheld and drifts with the dancer, which gives it the look of a friend filming on a phone.

The alarm on top

The audio from the source clip is laid under the finished video from the same point, because the alarm is the whole joke.

Straight talk

Before you upload

For the best result

  • Dress too smart for it. A suit or office outfit is funnier than gym clothes. It is the contrast that made the original work.
  • Show your whole outfit. Your clothes come from the photo, so a full-body shot gives the render real shoes and trousers for all those kicks.
  • One subject per photo. Crop group shots down to one person; the generator casts one dancer.
  • Trying a pet is a gamble. Pets are what most AI versions show, and the prompt allows for them, but we have not test-rendered one. Failed renders return their credits.

Good to know

  • One photo in, one 11-second vertical clip out.
  • You become the dancer beside a white SUV in a wet parking lot.
  • Your own clothes and hair stay; nothing is swapped for a costume.
  • The car alarm audio is added under the clip.
  • Standard 720p costs 10 credits, 480p costs 5; credits come back if a render fails.
